On Location at The Mornington Peninsula
My first post in my brand new website woohoo! how exciting 🙂
No, I’m not referring to Game of Thrones Winter but simply to my latest project which will hopefully will be featured in a well known camera manufacturer’s YouTube channel and related social media. Winter was the theme chosen as we are seeing the last of the summer season and officially enter the cold part of the year.
For this, my latest endeavour and via the power of social media I manage to put together the most awesome team ever assembled. Kinda made me feel like we were “The Avengers” of Photoshoots 😛 The idea of a beach photoshoot came a while ago while talking to a fellow photographer Andy Bee. As we agreed to put together a team and make this project come to live, we went through a few changes and our original idea evolved into a winter beach theme to try stay away from the more common beach glamour shoot. We wanted something a bit more classy and that would stand up from the crowd.
Led by the awesome and talented Emma Burnside from Wink Models, we were soon joined by an equally talented Make Up artist in Jade T Dang and Cat Allan as our Hair Stylist extraordinaire. (I seriously do not have words nor can I say thank you enough to these talented individuals.)
The day of the shoot went as smooth as you can ever expect in this situations. Early wake up call to start make up at 7am and sort out outfits while Emma was being transformed into our winter beauty. Into lunch time and after a hour and a half trip to the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne Victoria we were finally clicking away the first frames.
The overcast and almost perfect conditions of the morning gave up to a more sunny and colourful afternoon as we kept clicking frame after frame. As the sun came out, it gave us an almost complete different look for the last part of of our day.
After a 14 hour day I was finally back home downloading all the images from our Winter Beach Photoshoot. The process of selecting and culling images is a tedious one but once it is done i can dedicate my time to the actual editing and retouching of the images. Stay tuned as we prepare once more to create magic with Emma and the crew in our next project 😉 but for now enjoy some of the behind the scene photos from our “winter” day at the beach 😛
